No way, Borf old buddy…
To paraphrase a good man I know, this week has been a month. In fact, things have been so hectic that I legitimately forgot what day it was, and went to bed completely convinced that Friday was Thursday. Such is the way of a wild world. I certainly hope you are keeping your head far more in check, and that the year has gotten off to a safe start, better yet, a good one.
In light of various unhappy matters, I took to the past for my gaming jollies this week, taking some time out to run through some of my favorite laserdisc games of yore. Tackling the gauntlet of Time Gal, Road Blaster, and the Don Bluth Dragon’s Lair Trilogy worked wonders for the 70 minutes it takes (less?) to complete those games then, like Soul 2 Soul, it was back to life, back to reality. But that’s fine, the beat goes on and I’m very lucky for what I have.
I hope you’ve had a productive start to your gaming year. With the new release scene a little quiet right now, you’ve definitely got the opportunity to catch some of 2020’s classics or, like myself, dive into the past a little for some solid comfort gaming. Whatever it is you’ve been playing this week/weekend, jump into the comments and let us know. It’s a new year, and a new generation, but as long as I’m still here and kicking, this weekly rendezvous will continue.
Have a safe and pleasant weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
